I purchased the Teeter Hang Up from Amazon.com almost a year ago. I have had back problems for almost thirty years with surgery recommended for the past twenty, which I have put off. I have herniated discs of L4 and L5 along with arthritis of my spine, knees and ankles.

Since the 1990’s I have been living with daily pain and in the late 1990’s have had a few weeks where I cannot possibly get in my car or work. On a regular day I had trouble getting in and out of my car, could not work around the yard or do anything strenuous.

Finally by 2009 I decided things were so bad that I could not hold off on surgery any longer and started doing research and happened on the reviews on Amazon.com after seeing one of the Teeter Hang Up commercials. I thought I had nothing to lose but still had limited hope that it would help my situation.

When I got the Teeter Hang Up I went only part of the way back the first couple of days, then decided to take the plunge and go vertical. I made sure my wife was around as I was a little worried about whether my back could go out and of course at 52 years old was not used to hanging upside down. When I first went vertical it was kind of like when I used to go to a Chiropractor. There were some pops and cracks which actually felt good but was disconcerting at first.

By the end of the first week I was amazed that my back felt so much better. After about the second week we went away for a few days and my back pain started coming back since I could not use the Teeter Hang Up. Once I started using again the pain went away again. I then started doing stretching exercises and even sit up and crunches on the Teeter. You can do some great exercises.

I decided to wait awhile before writing a review as I always felt that maybe the relief was temporary or would reverse. But my back kept getting better, to the point that I have not had any pain for several months, and even when we go away for a week or so, the pain does not come back.

Now that it has been almost a year I can now work in the yard, use a shovel, get in and out of my car with absolutely no pain, and am even going to the gym and working out with heavy weights. I can now walk and run long distances which makes me thrilled as I used to run races, but have not been able to in many years. I now am getting in better condition and hope soon to be in as good or better condition than I was in my youth.

I know one thing, and that is that Teeter Hang Ups has made me able to do everything I used to do, and do it pain free. And the best part is, I never even consider having spinal surgery any more. I had talked to my doctors about Teeter Hang Ups and they all said forget it, they cannot work. I am glad I tried it and hope that many other people will try the Teeter Hang Up and Inversion Therapy before jumping in to having surgery.

Although I know that if I permanently stopped using the Teeter Hang Up, my pain would likely return, I now believe that as long as I continue to use it daily, I will never, ever have a back problem again.

We’ve owned an inversion table for 25 years. It’s the best investment for my health I’ve made. Our first one finally needed to be replaced. So, about 2 years ago, we bought the Teeter 950. It’s much better built than our first one and about the same price as I paid in 1982. I can recommend this product without hesitation. Note: I would start gradually with 30 seconds about 3/4 inverted. During the first 10 days or so, gradually work up to 3 minutes fully inverted. It has a profound effect on circulation all over the body, which effects the health on many different levels.

After a couple of months of miserable pain going down my hip & leg (like sciatica) at the same time as I lost my primary care physician (PCP), someone mentioned an inversion table as a possible help. After I read the wonderful reviews here on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to buy it and I went for the EP-950 because it came standard with most of the stuff that would be an add-on to the 550. Each time I tried it, when I first got off the table, the pain was considerably lessened in my back/hip/leg. Unfortunately, the more I used it, the more painful my ankles became. I wore the lace up shoes recommended and bought a different pair think maybe the top of the shoes were interfering w/ the ankle support system. My ankles became swollen and it felt like a deep tissue bruising, although there were no bruises showing. When I finally was able to see a new PCP, he told me to stop using the table. I did. My ankles aren’t swollen now, but the one still hurts occasionally if it rotates a little too much. And I’ve listed my beautiful new Teeter EP-950 on Craig’s List.

I was going to a chiropractor at least twice a week and continually needed an adjustment. I saw the Teeter advertised on TV and thought it was just another gimmick. My chiropractor suggested I try one and see if it would help. Since I received my EP-950 hang-up I haven’t been back to the Doctor. It stretches my legs and makes my back feel great. I believe it is the best kept secret out there.

Thanks,

Bob in South Texas

I have owned this Teeter model since February 2010. When I went to the doctor in December 2009 for persistant back pain, she said that if I lost weight it would likely disappear. The next time I saw her she wanted to give me anti-depressants. Then I was referred to a PT – which helped for related issues, but still my daily pain lingered. Finally, I went to another MD who ordered an MRI and determined that I had a bulging disc in my lower back and degenerative disc disease – and he ordered more PT and said I’d have to live with the pain for the rest of my life. (What? I’m only in my mid forties!) Then I purchased the Teeter and started daily inversion and it didn’t take long to start feeling better. I purchased this model because initially I couldn’t bend over without a great deal of pain and the extended foot/ankel locking mechanism seemed more appropriate than the other models. I also decided to get the best machine available since I plan on using it often and keeping it for a long time. I also purchased the vibrating back pad for an additional $100, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Along with purchasing the Teeter, I decided to add Metagenics MSM supplements and invested in a 100% natural latex mattress from [..]. Here it is just a few months later and I feel GREAT! I can get through the day with *NO PAIN* and I’m able to easily run 5k. My goal is a half-marathon in October.
