5 stars! Bought the Lynx Portable back Stretcher on Amazon a few weeks back. I have 2 troublesome discs that give me a numbing pain in my lower back when I play too vigorously with my 6 year old. Previously I would have had to go to the Physio for a session of traction, but now I can take a few minutes at home and stretch out the spine using the Lynx. 10 minutes and I am good for another couple weeks. What more can I say? It allows me to lead a normal life again!

I bought this and was not too happy with the effect.

* First of all it DOES stretch your knees and ankles. How could it not? I don’t need traction in my knees or ankles. Besides it is not too comfortable gripping around my ankles.

* Second, I need to decompress while lying on my stomach so I have a natural arch in my lumbar spine. The Lynx does not allow my to do this. If I decompress on my back, and especially with my lumbar spine flat (not arched) I tear my discs apart.

So for $70.00 LESS, I bought the Disc-Traction belt. It weight a couple ounces and folds up into the size of my hand. I can decompress in any position, it is comfortable, and does not pull on my ankles or knees.

The Lynx Back Stretcher works, and it works really well. The stretches take me less than 2 mins. And I save both time and hundreds of dollars when compared to the physical therapy sessions that I used to have. I use this about once every two days along with regular stretching, and it does the trick. My back pain isn’t completely gone, but I’ve only had the lynx for 1 month and I’ve made substantial progress since getting this. I highly recommend.

I’ve had back pain for most of my life. This is a very simple contraption. All it does it stretch you out. But when your back is tense and sore, a few minutes stretch works great!
