Neck stiffness is sometimes a result of wrong posture or position especially while sleeping that is why it is very important that you know the right positions in sleeping and you are using the right kind of pillow to promote good sleeping and free you from any headache, pain, stiffness and more (J Pain Res. 2010). Neck stiffness and pain can involve the muscles, nerves and bones of the neck, upper back and shoulders thus brings difficulty in accomplishing certain tasks and activities.
Fortunately most of this neck stiffness goes away after a while with rest, taking of pain relievers and lifestyle changes.
